Project description

The Heal's building at 196 Tottenham Court Road with its iconic and original character has been renovated to a high Grade A standard of accommodation. The building consists of three blocks built between 1916 and 1962. The refurbishment included all blocks where the original features could be integrated into the new refurbishment work, resulting in an authentic, modern building.

The building is located in a busy area surrounded by tenants such as Google, Facebook, The Guardian and Sony as well as shops, bars, cafes, restaurants and leisure activities.

Lighting solution

In phase 2 of the renovation, Riegens supplied lighting for several floors above the well-known "Heal's modern furniture and lighting store".

Hanging Balaton LED direct/indirect 36W 4000K and Balaton LED direct/indirect 22W 4000K in the offices with integrated light control, PIR sensors and daylight control via DALI dimming.
Built-in Illusion Soft LED 600 x 600 35W 4000K provides a unique design with a soft and even light that ensures ideal light control and low energy consumption. The lighting is designed to CIBSE codes and is controlled with daylight control. The extensive use of LED lighting in the building has greatly reduced energy consumption.
