How to reset a device
Preparation
Make sure the device has power.
If the device is wireless and not responding, change the battery first.
Open the app, select the correct location and tap the gear in the top right corner to open Settings.
A. The "R" button is available
1. The device is known (already registered to the location)
Go to Device settings.
Search for the device and tap it in the list.
Select Remove device.
Tap the device's "R" button.
Follow the instructions in the app.
2. The device is unknown (not registered to the location)
In Settings, select Reset device.
Find the device's "R" button (see images in the app) and press it.
Follow the instructions in the app.
B. The "R" button is unavailable
3. The device is known (already registered to the location)
Go to Device settings and search for the device. Make a note of the device's @name.
Tap the device and select Remove device.
Turn the power on and off to the device.
When the app shows the device's @name, tap Start.
Follow the instructions further in the app.
Repeat step 3 until the correct @name is displayed.
4. The device is unknown (not registered to the location)
Open Device settings and note down the @name of all devices on the same power course.
Go back to Settings and select Reset device.
Turn the power on and off on the course.
When a new @name appears, confirm that it does not belong to an existing device.
Press Start.
Repeat steps 3-5 until the device you are looking for appears.
Tips
Always check the power supply and battery if the device is not responding.
Document which @name belongs to which physical device for easier troubleshooting later.
