Timer and astrour
Timer makes it possible to automatically control lights or other devices based on time.
Astrour controls devices based on sunrise and sunset instead of fixed times.
Time synchronization
In order for Timer and Astrour to work correctly, the devices must have the correct clock time.
SG Smart Gen 2 devices
Astro clock / astro timer requires Gateway.
Regular timer can be used without Gateway, but the clock time is updated via Gateway.
SG Smart 3.0 devices
Clock time can be synchronized from Gateway.
Heatreg Smart 3.0 has battery backup that keeps the clock time for up to 18 hours in the event of a power failure.
Note:
The time is automatically updated when the location is opened in the app and the phone is within range of the components.
Creating hours (timer)
Open the SG Smart app
Select the correct location
Press the cogwheel in the top right corner
Under Planning, select Timer
Press + to create a new timer
Select Timer or Astrour
Note:
On SG Smart 3.0 devices, this is selected inside the timer setup.
On Gen 2 devices, you need to select Timer or Astrour before proceeding.
Enter a name for the timer
Select which devices or groups to control
Select the desired on/off status or dimming level
Set the desired time and days
(Optional) Activate night-time dimming when using Astrour
Press OK ☑️ in the top right corner to save
