Trondheim Airport, Værnes, is an international airport in Stjørdal municipality at Stjørdalshalsen in Nord-Trøndelag, approximately 35 km east of Trondheim.
The airport handles around 4 million passengers and 60,000 departures and arrivals a year, making it the fourth busiest airport in Norway.
SGhar supplied new lighting for the new international terminal.
Lighting solution
The solution for the lighting in the international terminal was Concido Pendant LED. This was partly to meet the lux requirements and partly because the customer liked the shape of Concido Pendel, which resembles an aircraft engine.
The existing 150-watt metal halide luminaires were replaced with 90 pcs. Concido Pendant D/I 64W 400K, where the uplight is switched on constantly, while the downlight is controlled by a motion sensor.
