Mortens Kro is located at Trondheimsveien 3 in Hagan and has been a gathering place for guests since 1965. The inn was founded by Kaare Hansen and is now run by the third generation of the family. Over the course of more than 60 years, Mortens Kro has evolved from a traditional roadside inn into a well-established gathering place for regulars, families, groups of friends, organizations, and companies.
Today, the inn consists of both an old and a new café, with seating for a total of 150 guests. In addition, Mortens Kro has four function rooms used for everything from meetings and conferences to parties and memorial gatherings. The various rooms therefore have different lighting requirements in terms of functionality, flexibility, and atmosphere.
SG Armaturen has provided a versatile lighting solution for Mortens Kro, featuring fixtures and control systems tailored to the building’s various areas and functions. The solution combines functional lighting with decorative elements and the ability to customize the lighting as needed.
Lighting solution
In common areas and other living spaces, the Disc 480 has been used, providing even and comfortable general lighting. The Disc is combined with Tunable White, which allows for varying the color temperature and adapting the light to different situations throughout the day.
Shopline is used as a flexible track system in areas where the light needs to be directed and adjusted. The system offers excellent opportunities to highlight different parts of the interior and can be adapted to various layouts and activities.In some areas, Tube Mini has been used, adding a more decorative touch and helping to create a cozy atmosphere. Prelude Square, Junistar Soft, and Inspire R have been used as functional lighting in various rooms and areas.
Tysnes and Sense are used in areas where functional and robust lighting is required. Sense also features sensor control, which makes it possible to adjust the lighting according to activity and use. StripLine is used as a decorative and flexible solution. In combination with Tunable White and SG Smart control, the lighting can be adapted to different needs and moods. This gives Mortens Kro greater flexibility in the use of its spaces, whether they are used for daily restaurant operations, meetings, or events.
Parts of the solution are supplemented with SG Smart, which enables flexible control and dimming of the lighting. Together, this provides a comprehensive solution that combines functional task lighting with decorative lighting and the ability to create different atmospheres in Mortens Kro’s many rooms.
