Ski-Doo Senteret AS has been running its retail operations in Alta for decades. Its main focus is on snowmobiles, ATVs, parts, equipment and clothing. And they are the best in Norway when it comes to sales of new models. 

As part of this success, they have now built brand-new buildings with distinctive, contemporary styling in line with the BRP specification of requirements. All lighting is carefully selected to complement the style, as well as to visually elevate the quality products even more in terms of colour rendering and volume of light. 

Lighting solution

SG was tasked with following the BRP Retail Environment descriptions on environmental lighting and decorative lighting. An efficient and seamless solution has been designed In close cooperation between the installers and developers, customising outdoor, store, communal area and handover rooms/viewing rooms to suit their particular purposes. 

Artes Midi is used eye-catchingly in outdoor areas, giving the building an exclusive touch. Inside, in the entrance and stairway, this theme continues with several Sense 800 pendants suspended at different heights.  

The result is an elegant, efficient solution for highlighting the building’s tall windows at the main entrance, seen both from the outside and from the inside. Rax Soft 200 Black is used as background lighting with trailing edge dimming on both levels in the store and showroom. Accent lighting is achieved with the Shopline system, and Tube Eco spots with a black finish for the trailing edge dimming.  

The lighting is controlled by several LEDDim Smart DIN 1000 units located above the ceiling. In other areas, Sense Opalprism 60x60 is used to provide comfortable, consistent and high quality lighting.
