Office and workplace

Office lighting is about more than illuminating a building; it's about investing in people. A thoughtfully lit environment supports focus, promotes collaboration and directly contributes to employee wellbeing and job satisfaction. We believe in creating workspaces that empower teams to do their best, transforming a physical office into a thriving hub of innovation and success.

Offices and workplaces

Good lighting in the office is important for health, well-being and efficiency. The right light reduces eye fatigue and discomfort and helps us stay focused throughout the working day. At the same time, light affects how we perceive the room, creating atmosphere, clear zones and a pleasant visual environment. For concentrated work, visual comfort is key. Solutions with low glare (UGR<19) reduce eye strain and counteract fatigue. In social zones and meeting rooms, light can be used to create a welcoming and energising atmosphere. By using Human Centric Lighting, we can create solutions that mimic the natural variation of daylight. This supports employees' circadian rhythms, increases energy levels and improves overall wellbeing. At SG Armaturen, we combine Scandinavian design with smart and energy-efficient technology to deliver complete, customised solutions. We help you build an office that is not just a functional workplace, but an attractive and forward-looking arena for innovation and success. As a supplier, we are happy to help you find good products and solutions. With the right insight, you can also plan and customise the lighting yourself and make smart, flexible choices that work in practice.

  • Tip #1

    Ensure low glare

Use luminaires with low glare, preferably UGR < 19, and microprismatic shielding. Position them so that the light source is not directly visible from the working position and avoid reflections in screens or shiny surfaces.

  • Tip #2

    Think in zones

Combine general lighting, i.e. uniform illumination throughout the room, with task lighting that provides directed light on the desk for flexibility and visual comfort.

  • Tip #3

    Shape with light

Light can create a sense of space, emphasise materials and help define different functions, such as meeting places, workplaces and social zones.

  • Tip #4

    Adapt to age

Older eyes often need two to five times more light than younger ones. Dimmable and adjustable solutions make it easier to customise to individual needs.

  • Tip #5

    Consider HCL

Dynamic light that changes intensity and colour throughout the day can support circadian rhythms, increase well-being and contribute to better concentration.

  • Tip #6

    Colour temperature and Ra value

Neutral white light, between 3,000 and 4,000 Kelvin, provides a good balance between comfort and focus. Choose Ra/CRI above 80-90 for lifelike colour rendering and good visual comfort.
