Espoo Cultural Centre is the main scene for performing arts and cultural life in Espoo. The Cultural Centre premises are in use for Espoo City Orchestra, Espoo Theatre and multiple different concerts and events.

The city of Espoo wanted to renew the general atmosphere and feeling of the building with a more fresh and modern lighting solution. The city also wanted energy savings and cost reduction with an LED solution with long lifetime and a minimum of maintenance.

Lighting solution

Installer company Lassila & Tikanoja chose SG Rax 200 DALI as lighting solution. Main reasons for SG was the long lifetime of Rax 200 series (100.00h L90/B10) high efficiency and especially the easy installation. The whole building was completed with only one article-number.

By using SG Rehab Rings, Rax 200 luminaires where able to be installed directly into the old installation holes. On the hallways L&T used the narrow optic reflector to have more narrow light distribution on this area.

As Rax 200 luminaries also can receive AC/DC power, it is working with the emergency light function in the building.
