Sensor

Sensor - function

SG Luminaires with sensors detect movement (people) in the monitoring area. If someone moves, the light turns on and stays on for a predetermined period of time.

SG luminaires with motion sensors can have the following functions:

Range setting
Adjust the sensitivity to match sensor coverage to avoid unnecessary detection from neighbouring rooms. Ordinary sensor (HF/radar) can detect through doors and walls, but PIR sensors cannot. The ranges in the table below are indications and depend on the direction in which the person is moving, the mounting height of the luminaire and other factors.

Timer
Adjust the time the luminaire is on for without detecting movement.

Twilight setting (daylight sensor)
Adjust how little daylight there should be before the luminaire turns on when there’s movement in the room. SensorDim luminaires can also be used as self-contained twilight sensors.

SensorDim

The SensorDim luminaire has some extra features in addition to a regular sensor. It has a standard light function that allows you to choose a low light level when there’s no movement. For example, it can be useful in corridors, to ensure that it’s not pitch dark and people will feel that it is safe to enter. As soon as the sensor detects movement, the full light is switched on. The light can be set to the desired standard level.

SensorDim luminaires also let you turn down the light level if you think it’s too bright or if you want to save electricity. You can also select your own standard light level and maximum level at night if you want less light, for example if you have to get up at night.

With SensorDim luminaires, the sensor doesn’t set any limit on how many luminaires can be connected as master-master. For each master, there can be a maximum of 200VA of slave load.

Sensor/SensorDim without daylight

In some luminaires, the sensor is encapsulated without access to daylight. They then act as pure motion sensors, regardless of the lux level. (Disc, Circulus).

Quick earnings - low costs

Sensor luminaires are well suited for homes, blocks of flats and commercial buildings. There’s big potential for energy savings and lower operating costs in housing cooperatives.

Energy-saving sensor luminaires light up the desired area only when light is needed. They’re practical, energy-saving and economical, and best for you and the environment.

Eco-friendly and energy-saving

There are many advantages of sensor luminaires. They can help reduce electricity consumption by up to 90%, thus protecting the environment while keeping costs down.

Sensor-controlled lighting reduces wear and tear on the luminaires, resulting in increased service life and reduced service costs for the product. With a built-in hidden sensor, the luminaire retains its stylish, original design.

Practical and hygienic - no light switch

In addition to the environmental and financial savings, it’s convenient and comfortable not having to look for the light switch when you have your hands full. In crowded environments, it’s also hygienic not to have light switches that everyone has to touch.

Examples of convenient locations are outdoors, or in a garage, laundry room, stairwell, cloakroom, shower or corridor. The sensor light turns on instantly when there’s movement in the area, and automatically turns off when there’s no activity.

Sensor settings

Sensor luminaire with On/Off (Sensor)

Sensor01.jpg

0%
When it doesn’t detect any movement, the luminaire stays off. The sensor continuously scans for movement in the area.

100%
When movement is detected, the brightness goes up to 100%.

100%
The brightness stays at 100% during the timed period.

0%
If the luminaire doesn’t detect any movement within this time, the light is automatically switched off.

Supplied for some sensor luminaires.

Sensor02.jpg

>1%
Without detection, the luminaire lights up at >1% of its maximum level. The sensor continuously scans for movement in the area.

100%
When movement is detected, the brightness goes up to 100%.

100%
The brightness stays at 100% during the timed period.

>1%
If the luminaire doesn’t detect any movement within this time, the light automatically goes back to >1%.
