Project description

Projektbeskrivelse
TietgenCity is a new campus at Odense Harbor of 9080 m2 spread over four floors. The building was commissioned in the fall of 2024 and houses Tietgenskolen EUX, EUD, EUV and 10th grade business. TietgenCity is designed to be an open and vibrant building where everyone feels welcome, including students, teachers, businesses and visitors. The vision is to create a dynamic learning environment by inviting people in, creating a good framework for well-being and community as well as a flexible framework for teaching and varied study environments. The building is characterized by its organic shapes both inside and out, creating a sculptural expression that emphasizes the school's inspiring learning environment.

The project is certified according to DGNB Gold.

The construction was carried out as a turnkey contract with CJ Totalentreprenør as the main contractor. JK+ EL-Installatør has been responsible for the electrical contract, SWECO Consulting Engineers has been the consultant, and Kjær & Richter has been the architect on the project. SG Armaturen has delivered a complete lighting solution and has been involved from an early stage in close collaboration with both SWECO and JK+ EL-Installation.

Lighting solution

In classrooms, offices and meeting rooms, a special version of Sense Round 60x60 in TW 2700-6500K has been used, which allows for dynamic and varied lighting throughout both day and evening. The lighting is programmed with a fixed daily rhythm, but can also be adjusted manually in the individual rooms as needed.

In the large open foyer, Wax luminaires have been used in the upper part of the building, providing exciting and glare-free lighting in the central learning environment. On the underside of the custom-designed spiral staircase, Exclusive Midi is installed in a special color to illuminate the steps and support the architectural expression of the staircase.

In the corridors, toilets and canteen, Rax 200 downlights in different wattages are used to meet current lighting requirements and ensure uniform and functional lighting. In the sports hall, which is also used for community events, Arena Sport luminaires are installed to provide a robust and flexible lighting solution for multiple uses. All indoor luminaires are Ra>90 to support the requirements for DGNB Gold certification and ensure high light quality in all living and learning environments.

For outdoor and ground lighting, Wax luminaires have been used at the main entrance, CicLED in parking areas and bicycle parking and Ray bollard as ground lighting at the artwork and rainwater area.

The majority of the luminaires used in the project are custom-made and produced at SG's factory in Odense. The solution was developed with a focus on creating a functional, flexible and atmospheric lighting environment that supports the building's architecture and the many different uses in the modern campus environment.
