Espoo Cultural Center is the main stage for performing arts and cultural life in Espoo. The Espoo Cultural Center is used by the Espoo Orchestra, Espoo Theatre and for several other concerts and events.
Espoo City Council wanted to renew the overall atmosphere and feel of the building with a more modern lighting solution. The city council also wanted to save electricity and reduce costs with a long-life LED solution with a minimum of maintenance.
Lighting solution
Installer Lassila & Tikanoja chose SG Rax 200 DALI as the lighting solution. The main reasons for choosing SG were the long lifetime of the Rax 200 series (100,000 h L90/B10), high efficiency and especially the ease of installation. The entire building was completed with just one article number.
By using SG rehab rings, the Rax 200 luminaires could be mounted directly in the old mounting holes. In the corridors, L&T used the narrow optical reflector to achieve a narrower light distribution in this area.
As Rax 200 luminaires can use both AC and DC power, they work with the emergency lighting function in the building.
