Project description
SG Lighting was invited to participate in several projects at Rotterdam Airport, including the upgrade of the main entrance. The primary goal was to create a more welcoming and contemporary first impression for visitors while ensuring that the lighting solution was energy-efficient, and capable of withstanding high traffic and daily operational demands. The project required a careful balance between functionality, and sustainability.
Lighting solution
The existing fixtures were replaced with Rax Soft luminaires, complemented by Rax Soft in stainless steel. In addition, Exclusive Midi downlights were installed to highlight the information boards at the entrance, enhancing visibility and guiding visitors seamlessly. The overall lighting concept combines style, practicality, and energy efficiency, resulting in a modern, inviting, and functional environment at the airport’s main entrance.
